Connecticut Ballet Center offers open and pre-professional classes for students from throughout Fairfield County ages three through adult taught by a professional faculty.  Connecticut Ballet Center's program includes a complete ballet training syllabus for children and adults, African percussion, boys ballet, tap, modern dance, hip hop, and exciting ethnic dance forms.

Teen & Adult ballet Classes

Advanced Beginner Ballet with Therese Wendler
Monday 7-8:30pm
An additional class per week for those with prior experience who want to solidify their basic technique as they move toward intermediate-level work.
A solid workout.
No required attire except tights and leotards.

Adult Beginner Ballet with Brett Raphael
Thursday 6:30-8:00pm
A CBC tradition - a floor stretch to world music, basic ballet barre, and
elementary cross-the-floor combinations. Some prior experience helpful.
No required attire except tights and leotards, ballet slippers necessary.
An introductory class for ages 13 & up.

Adult Beginner Ballet with Nicole Gaston
Saturday 9:00-10:15am
A basic introductory class taught by a former Connecticut Ballet and
Zig Zag Ballet ballerina. A solid workout.
No required attire except tights and leotards.

Adult Intermediate Ballet with Brett Raphael
Tuesday 6:30-8:00pm, Saturday 10:30-12:00noon (10:00-11:30am beg. 9/19), Sunday 10:30-12:00pm
A solid workout with plenty of technical challenges along the way.
Two to three years prior experience necessary.
No required attire except tights and leotards.

Pre-Professional Trainee Program (ages 14-21)
Four days per week, entrance by audition only.
Black tank top leotard, pink tights, pink ballet slippers. Black skirts allowed.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop 1/2 (ages 9-10)

Adult/Teen Hip Hop Workout (ages 15 & up)
Monday 7:00-8:00pm
Tuition: $512.00 for 32 weeks (four payments of $128.00) + $20 registration fee) or $18.00 for a single class or use 10-class flex card.

Dress for Hip Hop: Bike shorts/loose pants, t-shirt or leotard with sneakers or jazz shoes. No jackets, earrings, sweatshirts, or cell phones in class.

General Dress Code Policy

Proper classroom attire, as designated for each class level, must be worn by all students. Hair must be securely fastened off the face and neck. No jewelry, large earrings or accessories are allowed. In the event of unreasonably cold conditions or at the discretion of the instructor, students may wear form-fitting warm-ups. Bulky shirts, leg-warmers and dance skirts are not allowed in class. Girls' hair should be in a "ballet bun" style-no pony tails. Students with short hair must effect a smooth, close-to-the-head hairstyle. Braids or rolls must be pinned up.

Tuition Information

Adult single-class rate $18 per class.
Adult 10-class flex card 10-Class Flex Card expires six months after issue: $140.

$20 annual registration fee per student.

Make-up classes are not applicable to future semesters.

Quarterly payments subject to automatic $25 late payment fee. Returned check charge: $15

25% discount for second and third siblings.

We accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS.

Tuition is non-refundable after second week of attendance.

Work/Study and Financial Aid Scholarships are available. Call to request a financial aid application.

Classes cancelled due to insufficient registration result in tuition refunds through the date of the final class.

All rates subject to change.
